Speaker: Dr. Wright Pinson, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs, Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs & CEO of the Vanderbilt Health System, Vanderbilt University Medical Center
 
Dr. Wright Pinson is Chief of Staff at Vanderbilt University Hospital and Chairman of the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Medical Board. He is a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners.
His clinical interests include benign and malignant disorders of the liver, bile ducts and pancreas of all types. In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Pinson regularly contributes his time and expertise to surgical education and administration.

Dr. Pinson's current research focuses on improving outcomes for patients with hepatobiliary disease. He shares his knowledge in a variety of formats. Dr. Pinson has published over 250 articles in refereed journals, book chapters, abstracts, editorials and invited commentaries. He is a reviewer for Annals of Surgery, Archives of Surgery, Hepatology, Transplantation, American Journal of Surgery, the International Journal of Cancer and other professional journals. He has contributed over 200 scientific presentations and has served as an invited lecturer or professor on more than 100 occasions.

Dr. Pinson belongs to numerous professional societies and is a member of the board of directors for both the Hospitality House and the Ronald McDonald House of Nashville, TN.
